Alfred Street Baptist Church is seeking a dedicated and service-minded Culinary Coordinator I to join our vibrant community! This role is essential in supporting the excellence of our kitchen and fellowship hall operations—ensuring every church event is welcoming, organized, and memorable.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking for church and community events.
• Support ordering, inventory, and restocking of kitchen and pantry supplies.
• Ensure kitchen and storage areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with health codes.
• Maintain proper food storage and safe handling procedures (SafeServ certified).
• Help coordinate table settings, décor, and dining service for special events.
• Provide hands-on support for both on-campus and offsite church functions.
• Be flexible and responsive to unplanned events requiring kitchen support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (culinary training a plus).
• Current State SafeServ Certification required.
• 2–3 years of culinary program or kitchen coordination experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, courteous, and able to work well with diverse teams.
• Flexibility to work evenings and mandatory Saturdays and Sundays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical kitchen duties.
