Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC) is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant to the Senior Minister to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support our ministers and ministries while contributing to the overall success of our church operations.
The Senior Administrative Assistant to the Senior Minister provides day-to-day customer service in the areas of office administration to support the Senior Minister and ministries of the church. Enhance executive effectiveness by providing high-level information and project management to the Senior Minister and other areas as identified or requested. Act as liaison to the ministerial team and other members as requested. Research and compile data for presentations, and communications and to help inform executive decision-making. Manage executive and other members as requested schedules. Assist with phone and email communications, and exercise independent judgment and discretion that reflects executive styles and ASBC’s culture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As the Senior Administrative Assistant, you will:
Provide high-level administrative support to the Senior Minister, staff ministers and ministry programs.
Coordinate schedules, meetings, and calendars, ensuring no conflicts.
Manage travel arrangements for guests, including flights and accommodations.
Track and manage ministerial budgets, providing accurate reporting and updates.
Prepare PowerPoint presentations and assist with video recordings for ministerial productions.
Coordinate with other departments, work closely with the Executive Assistant for the Pastor, and act as a department representative in meetings as needed.
Serve as a liaison to the senior leadership team and other departments.
Screen calls, manage correspondence, and maintain confidentiality.
Organize logistics for programming and events, including fund requests.
Support Associate Ministers and Ministers in Training programs.
Minimum Qualifications
We are seeking a professional with:
A bachelor’s degree (required) and 5–7 years of experience in an administrative role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
A detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with collaborative tools and applications.
A professional, friendly, and courteous personality.
