Alfred Street Baptist Church is seeking a Worship and Ministries Coordinator to help shape and lead our worship experiences and ministry programs.

As a key part of our Worship Experience and Ministries (WEM) team, you will oversee ministry program development, worship service coordination, volunteer management, and new ministry initiatives. You will work closely with ministry leaders, church departments, and volunteers to create impactful worship experiences and community-driven ministry programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement ministry programs that align with the church’s mission and community needs.
• Collaborate with various church departments to ensure seamless execution of worship services and ministry events.
• Oversee volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and training for key roles, including ushers, greeters, and worship service coordinators.
• Ensure all aspects of worship services run smoothly, working with interpreters, facilities, music, deacons, security, AV, and ministry leaders.
• Manage ministry program budgets and oversee procurement of necessary materials.
• Propose and implement innovative approaches to enhance worship experiences and volunteer engagement.
• Track and evaluate ministry program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience: 5-7 years of experience in program development and volunteer management, preferably in a church or nonprofit setting.
• Skills & Qualities:
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
  • Passion for ministry, worship planning, and community engagement.
